Year In Review

Hey Friends

At what age does the end of the year stop coming as such a shock? Surely we’ll get used to the ol’ 365 eventually?

Regardless, the end of 2023 is here, and we’re all smiles. This year held big wins, new projects, new friends and successful campaigns. We considered making a feature film to showcase all this year had in store for us, but the writers’ strike seriously slowed down production. Enjoy our Year In Review instead.

Whether you’re an old friend, a new client, a lifelong partner or one of our beloved fans (hey mom), thanks for being here. We couldn’t do this without you.

Cheers!
The Tegan team

We made some new friends.

Our side hustle is making friendship bracelets.

  • Beech Valley Solutions

The Atlanta based consulting firm recruited Tegan for a website redesign and an improved online user-experience. The Beech Valley crew is the best in the industry, so TBH, making them standout was a piece of cake.

  • Levine Academy

When one of Dallas’ premiere private schools reached out for help with their marketing strategy, it took us zero seconds to say yes. We’re working with the Levine team to enhance their message positioning and reach a whole new generation of Jewish students.

  • Lyda Hill Philanthropies

The generous work of Lyda Hill Philanthropies has changed our community, and our world, for the better. Our team is honored to have the opportunity to help revamp their website, and further their mission.

  • Dallas Museum of Art

We’re partnering with the DMA to help showcase their special rotating exhibits and invite new audiences to experience all the museum has to offer. We’ll primarily focus on supporting their paid media efforts, such as video and search.

  • Bravelove

The Dallas-based nonprofit works with birthmothers, and champions their rights to pursue adoption for their baby. We’re working with the BraveLove team on digital strategy and marketing creative, hopeful to share their worthy cause on a wider platform.

  • Shug’s Bagels

Are we pumped to team up with Dallas’ best bagel shop for all of their digital marketing needs? Yes. Have we used this partnership as an excuse to eat an excessive amount of bagels? Also yes.

  • Rockcap Co.

Rockcap Co. has been a leader in Dallas’ commercial real estate scene since 2010, and we excitedly joined forces to become their Agency of Record for all things branding and design.

  • Geomark

For more than thirty years, the Geomark team has led the way in expert geochemistry research and analysis. Basically, they are the smartest people we know. We’re helping them out with brand collateral and future marketing strategy.

Pop the champagne. High fives all around. Group hug. Spontaneous dance party? Why not. This is the best part.

  • Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum

    Humanity Lives Here Campaign

We created and launched the Museum’s first ever full-fledged brand awareness campaign this year. Feel like you’ve seen more of the DHHRM around town? Yeah… that was us.

  • Beech Valley Solutions

    Website

Beech Valley Solutions’ brand new site offers a sleek, user-friendly platform that better matches the consulting firm’s high caliber of service.

  • Rockcap Co.

    Branding & Website

Rockcap Co.’s new website, branding, and collateral further elevates the commercial real estate’s already reputable position in the industry.

  • Safe Harbor Marinas

    Water App

We redesigned and developed Safe Harbor’s Water App, providing an updated seamless experience for Marina members.

  • Montauk Yacht Club

    Website

Our team designed, developed and launched the new website for Safe Harbor’s Montauk Yacht Club. You heard that right. We are members of a Yacht Club.

  • Halff

    Website

We teamed up with our friends from Spire to develop Halff’s new website, to give them an online space that better highlights their solutions and services.

  • PBK

    Multiple Websites

We worked with Houston’s premiere architecture firm to redesign and develop not one, not two… but six separate websites for the company’s individual platforms. New websites are our first love, so the chance to do six? That felt like Christmas morning.

  • Tolleson

    Website

Our longtime friends from Tolleson Wealth Management enlisted our help with a complete redesign of their website. The refreshed look and new sleek design is a much better reflection of the esteemed group.

...And got some recognition

Not to brag but, we had to lease the space next door to hold all our trophies.

Top 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies In America.

We landed a spot on this year’s Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing private companies in America. We are thrilled to be included among the best, and even more thrilled to announce, we’re not slowing down anytime soon.

Shortlisted at DSVC Dallas Show

The work we produced for the DHHRM’s “Humanity Lives Here” campaign was shortlisted at this year’s DSVC Show. Being recognized alongside the city’s top creatives felt good. Okay, fine… it felt freaking awesome.

Finalist for “Advertising Agency of the Year”

For the second year in a row, Tegan was selected as a Finalist for “Advertising Agency of the Year” at the American Marketing Association’s Marketer of the Year awards. And for the second year in a row, we welcomed the excuse to DoorDash cupcakes to the office.

MUSE Creative Awards

We cleaned up well at the MUSE Creative Awards, winning for both the Temple Emanu-El website, and DHHRM’s “Humanity Lives Here” campaign. Only one complaint. We’re running out of room on the trophy shelf.

The Daveys

When they say things are better in pairs, we’re pretty sure they’re talking about trophies. We took home two silver placements from this year’s Davey Awards, including recognition for the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum’s integrated campaign, and for Temple Emanu-El’s new website.

Around the office

2023 was a lot. Weddings. Babies. Travel. Travis & Taylor?

Summer internship program

Katherine Kemps & Peter Ngo

Katherine (account management) and Peter (digital analyst) completed our summer internship program, and again proved to us that interns are like magical unicorn wizards. We tried to convince them to skip the rest of college and stick around, but apparently school is important.

Weddings

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, if you’re looking for true love… come work at Tegan. We celebrated Jacey and Andy’s wedding in January, and Laura and Ezra’s in June. This means we’ve eaten a lot of wedding cake this year, and done a lot of Cupid Shuffles. Okay, the Cupid Shuffling was mostly Aaron.

Jacey & Andy

Laura & Ezra

Babies

Ryan & Bailey (Josie)

Ryan became a girl dad this year and TBH, it suits him well. Baby Josie joined the party in June. Ryan says she’s not the best sleeper at night, but we don’t blame her. It’s hard to be so good looking.

The Herringtons (Birdie)

Cue the happy tears. The Herrington family officially adopted Birdie! Birdie holds the title as Dallas’ cutest toddler, and we’ll fight anyone that says differently.

Vacations

Camping

Going off the grid was a common theme this year. John adventured on an 8 day hiking trip in Colorado, and Katie went camping in Minnesota. We’re pleased to report that both earned their outdoor badges.

World Cup

Morgan made everyone jealous with her 3 week vacation in Australia and New Zealand, cheering on our National Women’s Soccer Team in their World Cup appearance.

Korea

Paul also crossed some oceans, and took his family on an epic Korea trip. They spent their time visiting a green tea farm, pedaling rail cars through old Japanese rail tunnels, and hiking.

Honeymooning

And we can’t forget the newlyweds. Jacey and Andy spent a week in St. Lucia and Laura and Ezra took off for Cancun. We’re all still slightly offended they didn’t want the honeymoons to be Tegan Team Trips. Newlyweds can be selfish.

Movers and Shakers

Howdy Partner

John upgraded his status from VP Client Services to Partner. We thought the promotion would mean his jokes would get less corny and more sophisticated. We were very wrong.

Certified President material

Kelsey started and completed a Digital Marketing Certification professional program through SMU, and was elected Vice President for Dallas Fort Worth Interactive Marketing Association (DFWIMA). TBH, if Kelsey told us tomorrow she was training to be an astronaut, we wouldn’t be surprised.
