OVERVIEW

Safe Harbor Marinas reached out to Tegan with a unique challenge of creating a global lifestyle brand. The first step was transitioning over 80 individual marina websites into one unified platform. Simultaneously, we gave Safe Harbor’s website a brand new look-and-feel, complete with Hubspot integration, a customized Content Management System and multiple real-time data integrations.

Safe Harbor is the world’s largest owner and operator of marinas. Based in Dallas, Texas, the company is dedicated to providing exceptional service and memorable experiences to the global boating community.

Safe Harbor currently owns over 100 marinas across the United States — a number that is only continuing to grow.

Marina Attractions

We developed a new section on Safe Harbor’s website – Waterfront Lifestyle. The addition was dedicated to highlighting 3-7 local attractions in or around the marina location. We partnered with property managers to combine our research with their expert opinions on local restaurants and activities such as fishing, museums, beaches, and more. By including this information, we’re able to give our members a glimpse into what to expect and plan for with each marina destination. In addition to design and development, the Tegan team researched over 500 attractions and wrote overview descriptions for each.

Member Portal and Marketplace

We redesigned Safe Harbor’s existing Member Portal to give it a sleek, modern look-and-feel. The platform serves more than 40,000 Marina members, providing an accessible, unique space for each user. Members can log in and update their personal profile, adjust insurance preferences, make invoice payments and engage in contract negotiations. The Member Portal also includes access to the Safe Harbor Marketplace, an exclusive, members-only opportunity for buying and selling boats.

Case Study

Water App

Developed for both iOS and Android, the Safe Harbor Water app serves as a platform for Safe Harbor’s over 40,000 members to engage with their nationwide network of more than 115 marinas across 22 states. The app also introduces the Safe Harbor Marketplace, and provides yet another innovative resource for networking among Marina members.
