Overview

The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas (JFGD) has been a cornerstone of the Jewish Dallas community for decades, supporting local, national, and global initiatives through education, outreach, and philanthropy. But as the organization looked to expand its outreach and deepen community connections, it became clear that their digital presence needed a refresh. 

JFGD’s primary goal was to create a website that made it easier for users to engage with their mission — whether it was learning about community events, donating to causes, or finding opportunities to get involved. Our challenge was to build a site that was not only modern and intuitive but also powerful enough to serve as the digital hub for their broad range of initiatives.

Simplifying the User Journey

From the very beginning, we knew that user experience was key. JFGD’s previous website made it difficult for visitors to quickly find the information they were looking for, so our first priority was to rethink the site’s structure. We reorganized the site map to streamline navigation, making sure users could easily access key areas like the Event/Community Calendar, Community Directory, and Donations/Ways to Give.

These features were strategically designed to help JFGD foster greater engagement. For instance, the new Get Involved section offers a centralized place where visitors can explore volunteer opportunities and community initiatives, while the redesigned donation page simplifies the process of contributing to JFGD’s philanthropic efforts. By focusing on usability and clear calls to action, we created a site that makes it easier for users to connect with JFGD’s mission.

A Unified Digital Experience

Next, we turned our attention to design and content. JFGD had existing brand guidelines, but the website needed to reflect their mission in a vibrant and cohesive way. Our design team worked within these guidelines to create a unified visual experience — one that feels modern yet true to JFGD’s long-standing presence in the community.

We crafted key templates that would support JFGD’s diverse needs, including an easy-to-navigate Community Directory that connects users to local organizations and services, and an Event/Community Calendar that helps members stay informed about upcoming events. The new design elements make it clear, simple, and engaging for the community to find exactly what they need.

This project was all about making it easier for our community to engage with our work and take action. With Tegan’s help, we’ve created a platform that clearly communicates our impact and makes it easy for individuals to get involved, donate, or participate in upcoming events.

Expanding the Reach

But we didn’t stop at the website. To help JFGD continue growing their digital presence, we developed a robust social media strategy. Our team crafted an annual social media plan, complete with monthly content calendars, creative post designs, and engagement strategies to help JFGD expand their reach online. In tandem with the new website, this digital strategy ensures JFGD has the tools needed to communicate with their audience in meaningful ways, driving more participation and donations.
