Overview

BraveLove, a Dallas-based nonprofit committed to reshaping the perception of adoption and honoring the bravery of birth mothers, partnered with Tegan to revamp their online presence. With a mission as powerful as BraveLove’s, the goal was clear: to create a digital platform that would not only tell the emotional stories of birth mothers and adoptees but also drive engagement and support for the cause. Proudly serving as BraveLove’s Agency of Record, the Tegan team worked together to conduct a full rebrand and website redesign. The overarching vision was to blend poignant storytelling with practical functionality, ensuring that BraveLove’s message resonates with a broader audience and fosters deeper connections.

BraveLove’s previous shield logo, while strong, conveyed a masculine tone that did not fully capture the warmth and empathy central to BraveLove’s mission. Recognizing that the majority of BraveLove’s audience consists of young women facing challenging situations, it was crucial to develop a branding strategy that would feel welcoming and supportive.

A New Logo

The redesigned logo was crafted with the goal of reflecting the nurturing and heartfelt nature of BraveLove’s work. The new logo incorporates the “B” and “L” elements to form a heart shape, symbolizing the organization’s creative spirit and the love that underpins its mission. This subtle yet powerful design choice communicates compassion and empathy, aligning perfectly with the emotional narratives of birth mothers and adoptees that BraveLove seeks to highlight.

Color Palette and Typography

To align with the updated brand identity, we chose a color palette that exudes cheerfulness and openness. The primary colors are a mix of soft creams and maroons, with vibrant pops of bright red to evoke warmth and energy. 

We introduced a handwritten font to embody the authentic storytelling that BraveLove is known for. This choice adds a personal touch, making the content feel more relatable and genuine.

Enhanced Functionality for Greater Impact

Understanding the importance of driving donations and fostering community support, Tegan implemented a series of functional improvements that make it easier for visitors to contribute to BraveLove’s mission.

The website now features a streamlined donation system that simplifies the giving process, encouraging more supporters to contribute. We also integrated a revamped e-commerce store, providing visitors with an easy way to purchase items that support the nonprofit’s work. Beyond these functional upgrades, Tegan also enhanced the website’s email marketing infrastructure, allowing BraveLove to better engage with their audience and keep them informed about upcoming events, stories, and opportunities to get involved.

Strategic Marketing to Amplify the Message

Tegan built a comprehensive marketing strategy to bolster BraveLove’s online presence and expand their reach. This included targeted email marketing campaigns designed to mobilize the community and increase interaction, as well as a strategic social media plan to enhance BraveLove’s visibility across digital platforms.

From there, we executed paid media campaigns aimed at attracting new supporters and amplifying BraveLove’s advocacy efforts. These initiatives have not only increased engagement with BraveLove’s content but have also brought in new audiences that can be cultivated into loyal supporters and advocates.
