BODYBAR Pilates
BODYBAR Pilates Website Redesign
OVERVIEW
BODYBAR Pilates is opening Reformer studios toward 200+ locations by the end of 2027, and their website needed to catch up. It had to work for four people at once: someone who’s never taken a class, someone weighing whether to open a studio, an instructor looking for training, and existing members who mostly live in the app. We looked at seven competitors and a year of traffic data, then talked to franchise owners about what they were actually hearing from prospects.
Our Role
- Discovery & Strategy
- Platform Architecture
- UX/UI Design
- Technical SEO/GEO
- Web & CMS Development
- API Integration
- Ongoing Site Management
The Opportunity
Roughly 85% of visitors arrive for the first time, most of them on a phone. They want to know what a class feels like, what it costs, and whether the studio near them is right for someone who’s never touched a Reformer. The answers were on the old site. Finding them took more patience than a first-time visitor has.
Franchise content sat on a separate website, so anyone curious about ownership landed somewhere that felt like a different company. Studio pages were built one at a time. And the booking platform loaded slowly enough that people noticed, just over a second on average.
A Path for Each Audience
First-timers got their own path, with class formats explained at a glance and booking CTAs in the same position on every page. Prospective owners got a full franchise section, folded into the main site, covering territories, process, training, and leadership. Aspiring instructors no longer dig through a state-by-state dropdown to reach someone. And members already have the app, which frees the site to focus on everyone still deciding.
One Studio Template
One template replaced the one-off studio pages. It handles four states, from Coming Soon through Open, and every module inside it is optional, so a studio with no photography and no testimonials still gets a complete page. Sixteen templates across the site, all drawn from one library.
We also rebuilt the booking integration on a custom API connection with caching, which got the speed back and gave us control of screens the stock version was never going to hand over. Franchise owners can now see performance for their own location in one place.
Where It Goes Next
BODYBAR has one site now and one platform behind it. As the network grows past 200, new studios join a system that’s waiting for them.
