When Safe Harbor came to us, they operated 80 marinas across the United States. No unified brand. No shared digital platform. Just 80 individual websites and a membership of 40,000 boaters who deserved a better experience. Seven years later, Safe Harbor operates more than 150 marinas, has expanded beyond American shores, and has been acquired twice — first at $2 billion, then at $6 billion. We have been their agency of record for all of it. What started as a website consolidation became the foundation for a brand built to scale. A lifestyle identity, a mobile platform, a member portal, and a digital infrastructure that has grown through every acquisition, every new market, and every new marina. When the valuation tripled, the brand held.

Marina Attractions
A marina isn’t just a place to dock a boat — it’s a destination. We built the site to reflect that: a section of the platform dedicated to the experiences surrounding each Safe Harbor location. Our team researched and wrote descriptions for over 500 individual attractions across the network — restaurants, beaches, fishing spots, museums, and more — giving members a reason to explore beyond the dock and giving Safe Harbor a content platform no competitor could replicate at scale.
Member Portal and Marketplace
Safe Harbor’s 40,000 members needed more than a bill-pay portal. They needed a home base. We redesigned the Member Portal from the ground up — profile management, insurance preferences, contract renewals, invoice payments, and access to the Safe Harbor Marketplace, an exclusive peer-to-peer boat buying and selling platform available only to members. The result is a digital experience that deepens member engagement and gives Safe Harbor a retention tool as valuable as the marinas themselves. At 150+ locations, the platform has to work at scale. It does.
Water App
We built the Safe Harbor Water app for iOS and Android — a mobile platform connecting 40,000 members to a network spanning more than 150 marinas. The app brought the member experience off the desktop and into their hand, giving boaters real-time access to their marina network, the marketplace, and the broader Safe Harbor community wherever they’re on the water.
A Bright Future
Seven years in, the relationship looks nothing like it did at the start — and that’s the point. What began as a website project is now a full agency of record engagement spanning brand strategy, digital product development, member experience, and ongoing marketing across a global network. We don’t just build things for Safe Harbor. We help them think through what to build next. Two acquisitions. A 2x expansion in locations. A brand that held its value at every stage.
