Overview

People Serving People is Minnesota’s largest emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness and a leader in prevention services. Alongside the shelter, their Center of Excellence Preschool provides high-quality care and early learning for children. Tegan was brought in to merge two separate websites into a single, unified platform that better communicates People Serving People’s mission, showcases their programs, and makes it easier for families and supporters to connect.

The Opportunity

The redesign needed to meet the needs of many audiences. Families seeking shelter required quick answers, while current guests needed program details, maps, and resources. Supporters looked for simple ways to donate, volunteer, or attend events, and the broader community and media sought insight into People Serving People’s impact. The project also elevated the Center of Excellence Preschool, giving prospective parents clear access to curriculum and enrollment information, while current families could easily find resources and tuition payment tools.

Our Approach

Tegan created a modern, audience-focused digital hub with streamlined navigation and clear, accessible content. The redesign highlights People Serving People’s essential shelter services, integrates the preschool seamlessly, and ensures every visitor has an intuitive path to what matters most — whether that’s seeking support, engaging as a donor or volunteer, or enrolling a child in early learning. The result is a single, welcoming platform that reflects People Serving People’s full impact and strengthens community connection.
